A Chat Over Grilled Cheese

Ron Hafer is pretty much my new favorite person.

I was camped outside of Metzger eating my grilled ham & cheese from Eagle's Nest, when the assistant chaplain Andrew Braine, who happens to be my friend, popped his head outside and said, "you know, miss, you're not allowed to eat out here." He dragged me into the air-conditioned loveliness of their office and said, "Why don't you chat with Ron?"

My entire being was immediately flooded with awkwardness. When it comes to figures of authority, I always find them to be unapproachable, no matter how happy, cheerful or chipper they are. Especially Ron Hafer. How could I possibly consider approaching the most ridiculously cheerful, chipper, and seemingly ageless man?

Well, suddenly he was shaking my hand and asking for a bite of my grilled cheese.

I ended up having a 45 minute conversation with him, and he now states that we're life-long friends. I have never met a man with so much energy. It's like he gets shot out of a cannon every morning.

On an entirely different note, I need to be friends with film majors. They have all the good movies, and I'm in a movie-watching mood. I like watching stuff that I've never seen.

Well, toodle-pip and all that, folks!

Funny. I can rarely approach authoritative people, scares me to death. I was actually afraid of some people who were actually my age...but authoritative. Lol. I don't have that problem anymore really. Everyone in DCF is my family and there's no problem approaching family. Sounds like you had a fun time. And did you spend like all of last night reading ALL of my blogs? Going through my footprints all I saw was you...but you read them bassackwards. That had to be at least somewhat confusing...or can my life actually be lived backwards? Interesting thought.
