So . . .

So I'm sitting here jamming with/listening to some of the friggin' awesome people that are staying on the island with me. All of them are so good, they practically make me want to quit music all together. Four of the guys - Dan Verhoeven (bass), Brandon Mergard (drums), Ryan Skolrud (rhythm guitar), and Zak Buccitelli (lead guitar) are rocking out to a song of their own making. Seriously, I would buy all of their CDs. I am so so so so FORTUNATE to be surrounded by such phenomenally talented people.

And to top it all off, they're nice. SUPER nice. How did I luck into such an awesome situation? My mind is very much boggled right now.

Classes start tomorrow. We're diving right in and getting to the nitty-gritty of it all. It's going to be tough and lot of work, but I'm ready. Bring it on.

On a slightly more stressful note, I'm sick. My sinuses rebelled practically the moment I stepped on the island, and my throat is starting to feel really scratchy and hoarse. I'm terrified of getting laryngitis, so if y'all wouldn't mind praying that I get better really soon, that'd be swell. =)

I miss everyone ever so! I'll post pictures, probably tomorrow.
