New York, New York, it's a wonderful town!!

Wow, it's been a bit longer than a while. My apologies, dear readers!

So much has happened in the last two months. I have now written over 10 songs, have recorded and mastered 2 of them, have co-written with multiple people, and have worked on and performed in countless shows. We've also been to Boston for a weekend back in October, and we are now in New York for the Thanksgiving holiday, meeting with music execs from some of the most influential companies in the business. It's been an exhausting whirlwind, but I've loved every second of it.

We'll be heading back to the island within the next few days to finish out the last 2 1/2 weeks of the semester. I fly home on December 19th. It's very surreal to think of how soon that is, especially when, in some ways, it seems like I only just arrived. I have grown SOOOO much since September - I hardly even recognize who I was back then, and I cannot wait to continue growing back home.

Also, for those of you who do not yet know, I have a boyfriend. His name is Ryan Skolrud, and we met at the CMC. He is a wonderful, godly man who keeps my eyes and heart focused on Christ, and I could not have imagined that there was such a blessing in store for me this semester. You'll meet him, I promise. =)

Coming to New York has definitely been one of the highlights of my entire time here. I've seen things that I've been dreaming about seeing since I was a little girl. I've been to the Empire State Building, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the New York Public Library, the Metropolitan Opera, Juilliard, Radio City Music Hall, the Rockefeller Center, FAO Schwartz, Saks 5th Ave., Chinatown, Greenwich Village, Central Park, Times Square, and, of course, Broadway. Ryan and I saw "White Christmas" on Sunday night at the Marquis theatre, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, second only to witnessing the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person yesterday. That was PHENONEMAL. =D

I miss you all ever so much, and I can't wait to tell you all about my experiences in person. I promise, I will write more soon!
