End of Inconsistency

This is a song I wrote last fall with my friend, Ely Cartwright. He's playing guitar and I'm singing. It very much describes where I'm at right now. (If you open the link in a new tab, you can see the lyrics and hear the song at the same time! Yay technology!)

End of Inconsistency
-all rights reserved-

I've been wandering down wild roads
The restless wind my only company
But lately I've been longing
To be as constant as the dirt beneath my feet

The grass is always green tomorrow
The same cannot be said of me
I fail at all you hope for me to be
I want to find the end of inconsistency

There's a fire within me
The selfish flames have always had control
But the burn is fading, slowly dying
And I finally feel I have the chance to grow.

The grass is always green tomorrow
The same cannot be said of me
I fail at all you hope for me to be
I want to find the end of inconsistency

My actions speak the loudest,
And their words are not so clean
I want to find the end of inconsistency
I want to find the end of inconsistency.
